Prevent Experiment Details Data Leak with Data Anonymization

Understand Data Leaks

The names of the variations and goals can be send to third party tools like Google Analytics and other analytics or heatmap tools but that also mean they are available in the public Javascript. Data Anonymization is a feature you find in your Project Settings and allows you to hide test specifics.

Data Anonymization is a recommended feature for all Convert.com’s users that will be turned on for all newly created projects on the platform. The feature improves privacy by removing naming of all projects, variations, segments and goals for the JavaScript stored on Convert.com’s secure CDN infrastructure. They will be replaced by ID's.

Here some screenshots of this feature.

Note: Convert never shows archive, draft and scheduled experiments or gives insights in variations of running or completed tests that have been stopped/paused.
